A LITTLE ABOUT GLORIA EUDOSIA O'GILVIE MOSS

She was born in Guatemala, on May 26, 1931, to the late William and Ann Louise Moss. She attended Buxton High School in Kingston, Jamaica then pursued a career in teaching at the Mico Training College. A subsequent change of heart brought her into her nursing career at Bellevue Hospital then to the University of the West Indies where she became a Registered Nurse. After migrating to the United States of America in 1963, she worked and furthered her studies to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing.

She lived in Belleville, New Jersey for about 20 years and worked She became certified in many areas but her love was in cardiac care and she worked in that area for almost all her time in New Jersey.

In 1990 Gloria relocated to Florida and worked at Winter Park Care Center until she retired three and a half years later.  A vibrant member of Christendom, she was appointed elder of her church, Oviedo Presbyterian Church.  Gloria will be remembered for her selfless dedication to the youth and hospitality ministries.  She loved her pastor, Pastor Paul, and her church family.

Gloria, know as the  “Queen” to her immediate family was a living example of love and service. She had so much love to give that everyone thought he or she was that special one and we were all right because each of us had a special place in her heart and nobody else could take that space. We were all special to her. After the passing of her parents, she has been the glue that kept our family together. Her unconditional love and loyalty to her family is unparalleled and is worthy or emulation.
Left behind to carry on her legacy are son George Moss (Barbara) and Barrington Lewis (Jaun),  brothers and sisters, Keith Moss (Audricka) of Kingston, Jamaica, Roy Moss of Guatemala, loving sister to Joyce Jackson of Kingston Jamaica, Alfred Moss (Marjorie) of Canada, Olga Crawford (Joseph) of Palm Cost FL, and Peggy Peck of Ohio.  Her memory will also be cherished by the latest addition to her family, her daughter Claudette (Ed) of Melbourne Fl. Others left to cherish her memories are her goddaughter, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and a numerous friends and relatives.
